What is lolita? What is j-fashion? (Simply and quickly)
Lolita (ロリータ) is a Japanese fashion inspired by Victorian-era clothing and styles from the rococo period. It grew from young women's desire to dress for themselves in a way that disregarded men's opinions. The style is characterized by a distinctive silhouette, achieved from wearing petticoats underneath dresses or skirts with a specific cut.J-fashion is short for Japanese fashion. Similar to how there are different styles of American fashion, such as punk, there are a bunch of styles in Japan too. There are subtle Japanese styles, while others that might seem too wild and garner a lot of attention.
What is meant by "beyond the globe" ?
Because J-fashion and such originated, or better said- is most commonly seen in Japan, other people might be confused by what people dressed in the J-fashion are wearing. The quote "Beyond the globe" is supposed to mean- all around the world, since J-fashion now can be seen "all around the world" because of medias promoting it and people sharing their love for Japan, J-fashion and Japanese culture.
